Chesterfield Parks and Rec to host vendor market supporting local Black-owned businesses
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- In honor of Black History Month, Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation has partnered with the Richmond Night Market to host a vendor market featuring local Black-owned businesses.
The third annual Black History Month Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Beulah Recreation Center, located at 6901 Hopkins Rd. in North Chesterfield.
The market will feature live music, dance demonstrations and activities for all ages, according to a spokesperson for Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation.

Attendees can browse and purchase from nearly 60 vendors selling visual art, jewelry, clothing, ceramics, food and more at the Black History.

Looking to learn more about the stories of local community members during February? 8News has collaborated with the Black American Artists' Alliance of Richmond for its second annual Black History Month art exhibit, "History and Stories: Lifted by Legacy," on display at the Art Works gallery in Richmond's Manchester area.
Visitors can view the exhibit at 320 Hull Street Rd. through Feb. 21. Proceeds from the exhibit will support arts programs at the Boys and Girls Club’s Southside location.
