Chesterfield Parks and Recreation invites families to attend Kite Day

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation is inviting families to attend a day full of kite flying at the River City Sportsplex Sunday afternoon, with some kids aged 12 and under receiving a free kite while supplies last.

The parks and recreation department will host Kite Day from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, at the River City Sportsplex in Midlothian, and 1,000 kids aged 12 and under will receive a free kite.

The county added that both seasoned kite enthusiasts or first-time kite fliers can attend. However, besides kite flying, the day will include bounce houses, face painters, music, food vendors and free train rides on the RVA Express thanks to Virginia Family Dentistry.
