Chesterfield police continue to seek public’s help in 1995 homicide cold case

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- After nearly 30 years, the Chesterfield County Police Department continues to seek the public's help with a homicide cold case.

Around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, 1995, police officers were called to 3401 Courthouse Road after it was reported a man was unresponsive in the road at Rockwood Park.

When they arrived, officers determined that the man — later identified as 41-year-old Manuel Antonio Jimenez — had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
