Chesterfield Police’s Falling Creek Station closes indefinitely after fire

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Chesterfield County Police Department's Falling Creek Station along Providence Road will close indefinitely after a fire occurred in early February.

The Chesterfield County Police Department announced on social media on Wednesday, Feb. 18, that the department's Falling Creek Station, located at 20 N. Providence Road, will be closed indefinitely after a fire occurred on Feb. 8.

According to police, on Feb. 8, a passing officer spotted smoke at the station and reported it. Officials said the fire, which appears to have been electrical, was quickly extinguished by Chesterfield County Fire and EMS crews.

No one was inside the station when the fire began and no one was injured, police said.

Residents who need non-emergency assistance were asked to call 804-748-1251 or go to any of the following four stations:

  • Police Headquarters: 10001 Iron Bridge Road
  • Falling Creek Substation: 5701 Route 1
  • Swift Creek Station: 6812 Woodlake Commons Loop
  • Appomattox Station: 2920 W. Hundred Road

Police reminded residents to always call 911 during emergencies.
