Chesterfield school bus involved in crash, police investigate
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Police are investigating after a crash involving a Chesterfield school bus took place on Wednesday.
According to the Chesterfield County Police Department, a school bus was traveling south on Charter Colony Parkway on Wednesday, Feb. 18 when a white van ran a red light at the intersection of Old Hundred Road.
The van clipped a sedan that was traveling north on Charter Colony Parkway and then hit the school bus.
While there were students on the bus at the time of the crash, none were injured. Officials said no one involved in the crash ended up with serious injuries -- one adult on the bus and the driver of the sedan were taken for medical evaluation by rescue teams.
The crash is currently under investigation and charges are pending, per authorities.
