Chesterfield’s Kite Day to return to River City Sportsplex this weekend

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Thousands of kids will be able to fly kites for free this weekend as Chesterfield's annual Kite Day returns.

The event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, at River City Sportsplex, 13030 Genito Road. The first 1,300 kids aged 12 and under will receive free kites from SERVPRO.

Attendees can also bring their own kites to the event.

Kite Day will also feature children's train rides, music, bounce houses, glitter tattoos and more. The community will also be able to purchase refreshments.
