Colonial Heights Police looking for hit-and-run suspect after pedestrian struck
COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) -- The Colonial Heights Police Department is asking for help investigating a hit-and-run case that sent a pedestrian to the hospital with serious injuries. According to police, at around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, a male victim was found with serious injuries behind a 7-Eleven located at 617 Boulevard. Witnesses said the victim was hit by a driver who had left the area by the time officers arrived. The victim was taken to Southside Medical Center in Petersburg before being transferred to Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center. His injuries are determined to be serious but he is in stable condition, according to police. Colonial Heights Police did not provide a description of the driver or their vehicle but is asking anyone who may have seen the crash or has information related to the incident to contact Senior Officer Ramos at ramosc@colonialheightsva.gov.
