Comedian Eddie Griffin to bring his ‘Live and Unleashed’ tour to Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Actor and comedian Eddie Griffin is hitting the road for his "Live and Unleashed" tour and will make a stop in Richmond this summer.

Eddie Griffin's "Live and Unleased" tour will come to the Dominion Energy Center on June 28. Tickets will be available for the public to purchase starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9.

Griffin has built a popular fanbase since his comedy debut in 1990. He opened his own dance studio at the age of 16 and even choreographed halftime shows for the Kansas City Chiefs. Although dance was his first passion, a dare from his cousin to perform at a local comedy club changed the course of his life, leading him to pursue comedy full-time.

Since then, he has appeared in movies and TV shows like "A Star Is Born," "Malcolm & Eddie," and "Undercover Brother."
