Continued road work along I-95 South in Henrico to cause ‘significant delays’
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Drivers can expect "significant delays" on Interstate 95 South in Henrico County on Saturday and Sunday as a road improvement project continues.
From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Satuday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11, the right and center lane of I-95 southbound near Parham Road will be closed for shoulder rehabilitation, per the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
During those hours, drivers are strongly encouraged to use I-295 to avoid the work zone.
This project initially began in March. It was originally set for March 15 and 16, then rescheduled for March 22 and 23 due to "utility conflicts and unfavorable weather conditions."

In this case, these May dates do not appear to be the result of another scheduling conflict, with VDOT only saying the work "will continue" in its press release.
If you have any questions on this project, you can contact VDOT at 800-367-7623.
