Crash involving tractor-trailer causing miles of backups on I-95 North in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer is causing miles of traffic backups on Interstate 95 North in Chesterfield County on Thursday morning.

At around 7 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, the Virginia Department of Transportation reported that the center and right travel lanes were closed on I-95 North in Chesterfield, between Ruffin Mill Road and Old Bermuda Hundred Road, due to a multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer.

At 7:43 a.m., the department reported that there were five miles of backups. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
