Crews working to repair water main break in Petersburg
PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- A water main break has closed a portion of a Petersburg roadway Wednesday night as crews work to repair the damage. As of 8:32 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, crews with the city's Department of Public Works are repairing a water main break on River Street at its intersection with Cockade Alley. Part of River Street is closed as this work continues. "We thank everyone for their patience and understanding as our Public Works crew work to make the repair as soon as possible," the city said on Facebook. "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause residents and businesses, and appreciate the crew for their swift response."
