Deadly crash in Westmoreland County results in DUI arrest
WESTMORELAND, Va. (WRIC) -- Virginia State Police is investigating a crash that occurred on the border of King George and Westmoreland County -- resulting in the death of one man, injuries of another person and the driver being arrested for DUI. At 7:32 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, state police responded to the scene of a head-on collision at Route 3 on the King George-Westmoreland County line, which resulted in the death of a 34-year old man and injuries of another person. According to state police, a white Dodge Ram was heading east on Route 3, crossed the center line and hit a brown Hyundai Sonata head-on. Thirty-four-year-old Anthony Ray Bullock-Brown of the town of Colonial Beach in Westmoreland County, identified by police as the driver of the the Hyundai, died on the scene of the crash. The passenger of the Hyundai was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for injuries. The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 32-year-old man from the town of Warsaw in Richmond County, was determined by officials to be intoxicated during the time of the crash. He was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries and later arrested. The driver of the Dodge Ram is facing charges of DUI and involuntary manslaughter. The crash is still under investigation by Virginia State Police.
