Department of Agriculture to host free webinars on bird flu prevention

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture will host free webinars at the end of January to help prevent the spread of bird flu.
The biosecurity webinar for commercial or backyard poultry farmers will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30. The link to join can be found by clicking here.
For dairy farmers, the webinar will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28. The link to join can be found here.
Several state agencies have also encouraged Virginia residents to report bird deaths in an effort to track and prevent the spread of bird flu. More information about the process and criteria of reporting can be found here.
