Detour affects Petersburg Area Transit Route 1 service

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- The Petersburg Area Transit Route 1 bus will not be able to stop at Walnut Hill Apartments until further notice due to a detour.
With the current road closure on North Boulevard and Johnson Road in Petersburg, the Route 1 Walnut Hill bus will be following a detour until further notice. As a result, the stop located at Walnut Hill Apartments will be the only stop not being serviced.
According to the City of Petersburg, the detour will be as followed:
Outbound:
- Head on Powhatan Avenue, right on West Tuckahoe Street, left on Varina Avenue and right on Bermuda Street
Inbound:
- Head right on Bermuda Street, left on Varina Avenue, right on West Tuckahoe Street and left on Powhatan Avenue
