Do you know these women? Police looking for potential witnesses after Richmond woman hit, killed on Midlothian Turnpike

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- In the fall of 2024, 42-year-old Tomorrow Brooks was hit and killed by an SUV along Midlothian Turnpike. 8News is continuing to follow her family's fight for justice as Richmond officers announce they need help from the public. When a tragedy occurs, investigators interview anyone who may be able to help put the pieces together -- clearing up the moments leading to any person's death. However, in Brooks' death investigation, which began back in Oct. 2024, officials weren't able to do that. Now, this past Monday afternoon, the Richmond Police Department released photos of two Richmond women -- 36-year-old Jazmine Taylor and 29-year-old Angelia Watson, who may have crucial information about what happened to Brooks. 8News reporter Sierra Krug spoke with Brooks' mother, Nieta Blount, following her daughter's death. "So [if] anybody can help us, please help us ... come forward, please. On Oct. 9, 2024, officers were called to the 6300 block of Midlothian Turnpike around 5:30 a.m., where they found Brooks lying in the westbound lane, unresponsive. She died at the scene. The Richmond Police Department's crash team determined that Brooks was hit by an SUV as she crossed the dark road. The SUV's driver remained at the scene and no charges have been filed. Currently, this is classified as a death investigation, rather than a homicide.
