Downtown Petersburg Restaurant Week: Cuisines, cocktails and more

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got a visit from two special guests on Wednesday to talk about how people can support the community and eat good food during Downtown Petersburg Restaurant Week.

8News anchors Autumn Childress and Delaney Hall were joined by Senithia Martin, board president of Main Street Petersburg Inc., and Vincenza Crapa, owner of Maria's Old Town 21, to talk about what people can expect.

"Downtown Petersburg Restaurant Week is an opportunity for us to highlight and showcase all the wonderful restaurants we have downtown, in Petersburg, that most people don't know are there," Martin said.

People can come out to enjoy an array of cuisines, craft cocktails and gourmet desserts starting on Sept. 13 through Sept. 20.

Crapa prepared one of her favorite dishes, Linguini Siciliana, as she spoke about how she came to open the restaurant, which has been operating for 15 years, after she moved to America from Italy.
