Dozens of guinea pigs available to adopt at Richmond Animal Care and Control

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Looking for a furry friend but don't have the space for a dog? Richmond Animal Care and Control (RACC) recently announced that there are dozens of guinea pigs currently available for adoption.

The shelter announced in a Facebook post that they were the recent recipients of 25 guinea pigs after the animals were removed from "bad situations."

There are boy and girl guinea pigs available at varying ages, and the adoption fee for each is $25.

Anyone interested in adopting one can email Savannah.hughes@rva.gov to set up an appointment -- be sure to include information about your home and your care plan for the animals.
