Drinking water clinic coming to Goochland in October
GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A drinking water clinic that will include a well water testing program will come to Goochland County in October.
The county's office of Virginia Cooperative Extension will host the program in association with the Virginia Housing Water Quality Program, according to a Friday release from the county.
Officials said the Virginia Household Water Quality Program aims to enhance water quality and health of Virginians with wells, springs and cisterns, per a release.
They will reportedly offer affordable water testing, assistance with interpreting their water test results and provide information about addressing problems.

Sample kits -- which cost $70 per kit -- need to be picked up on Tuesday, Oct. 7, and residents will need to return them between 7 and 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
A follow-up meeting will be held on Thursday, Dec. 4, to provide confidential test results, as well as explain the numbers and offer information on how to handle any problems found, per a release.
Testing includes lead, copper, arsenic, iron and more.
