Driver dead, another seriously injured after two-vehicle crash in King William

KING WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A driver is dead and another is seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash in King William County late Friday night.

At 10:38 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, Virginia State Police troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of King William Road, or Route 30, and Roane Oak Road.

According to state police, a 2023 Toyota Tundra was traveling east on Route 30 when it crossed the center line and hit a 2016 Ford Fiesta head-on. The Tundra overturned.

The driver of the Ford Fiesta -- 58-year-old Debbie Davis of Newtown -- died at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota Tundra -- 32-year-old Zachary Johnson of West Point -- was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

State police continue to investigate the crash.
