Driver flown to hospital after car crashes, overturns in Charles City County

CHARLES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A driver was flown to a nearby hospital with serious injuries after their vehicle overturned in a crash on Sunday night.
Around 10 p.m. on July 6, state troopers and deputies with the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office responded to the 11000 block of Kimages Road for a reported single-vehicle crash.
According to authorities, a 2011 Hyundai sedan had run off the road and overturned.
"The driver was flown by Med-Flight to VCU Medical Center for treatment of serious injury," a spokesperson with Virginia State Police said.
Sheriff Jayson Crawley told 8News that Virginia State Police would be conducting the crash investigation.
