Eight people in violation of probation, parole taken into custody in Chesterfield
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Eight people in violation of probation or parole were taken into custody in Chesterfield following sweeps by the Virginia Department of Corrections and the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office.
According to officials, sweeps were conducted for probationers with active warrants within Chesterfield County on Jan. 24 and Feb. 10.
Two probationers in violation of probation or parole were apprehended before Jan. 24, two more were apprehended during the operation and two others were taken into custody following the operation.
Officials said two more were apprehended on Feb. 10, bringing the total number of probationers taken into custody to eight.
Officer arrest warrants, known as a PB-15, are issued and filed with local and state law enforcement agencies to bring probationers who have violated probation or parole into custody, according to the department.
