Family still without answers in decades-old Ashland murder case
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- It's been nearly a quarter of a century since Truman Stanley was killed in his Hanover County home. His family remains desperate for answers.
Stanley was killed between about 10 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, 2002 and Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002 inside his home in the 500 block of N. James St. in the Ashland area.
On the 24th anniversary of Stanley's death, the Ashland Police Department is asking the public to come forward with any information they may have on what happened to him.

“We are looking for anyone that may have information about Mr. Stanley’s tragic murder," said Ashland Police Chief Troy Aronhalt in a Feb. 25 press release. "Mr. Stanley’s family has waited nearly 25 years and still has not been able to receive the justice they deserve. We ask anyone with information to contact us immediately."
