Fire breaks out in garage of Chesterfield home, caused by sawdust from floor refinishing project
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A fire broke out in the garage of a Chesterfield home Tuesday morning, which officials said was caused by sawdust from a floor refinishing project.
At 4:51 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20, Chesterfield County Fire and EMS crews responded to a call for a house fire in the 5200 block of Cabretta Drive, off of Otterdale Road.
After firefighters arrived, they found smoke and fire in the garage. The fire was marked under control in 15 minutes.
No one lives in the home, and there were no injuries, according to officials.

A spokesperson for Chesterfield County Fire and EMS said the fire was ruled accidental and was caused by sawdust from a floor refinishing project.
