Free bricks available in Ashland for use in outdoor projects

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Are you working on an outdoor home project? The Town of Ashland will give away bricks from the historic train platform's renovation.

The Town of Ashland shared in a Facebook post that residents can pick up bricks that were salvaged from the renovation of the historic train platform, offering a unique piece of local history for use in personal projects.

Bricks will be available for pickup at the Town Shop, located at 101 Vaughan Rd., where Town Public Works staff will be on-site to assist with loading. Pickup times are scheduled for April 30 and May 7, both from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

According to the Town of Ashland, no registration is required. There is also no limit on the number of bricks people can take, however, the bricks will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
