GalaxyCon returning to Greater Richmond Convention Center

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- GalaxyCon will be returning for another round of events at the Greater Richmond Convention Center next week.

The convention will be held at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, located at 403 N 3rd Street, from Thursday, March 27 through Sunday, March 30, and is a 4-day "festival of fandom," according to the website.

Attendees will have the chance to celebrate the world of comic books, play games, take photos and interact with celebrities, artists, voice actors, as well as fellow fans, writers and cosplayers.

For a chance to win over $4,000 in cash, plus medals and trophies, those who cosplay can take part in costume and cosplay contests. This will include prizes and famous cosplay guest judges.

Kids ages 9 and under get in free with a paid adult, with up to three children admitted for each adult.

A single-day pass is $65 for Friday, $75 for Saturday and $70 for Sunday, while a three-day pass is $140.

A four-day pass is $150, and a four-day VIP pass is $450, according to organizers.
