Handyman wanted after missing plea hearing related to construction fraud case
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A handyman at the center of a construction fraud case in Hanover has found himself in trouble with the law again after not appearing for court.
On the morning of Thursday, Oct. 9, Patrick Farley was expected to appear in court for a plea hearing. He was arrested in December and faces a construction fraud charge.
8News spoke with Farley’s alleged victim Tim Haufler in 2024. The Hanover father reached out to 8News after he says Farley didn’t complete his nearly $13,000 kitchen remodel.

Farley’s case is one of several contracting related cases 8News has investigated as part of a series to help shed a light on homeowner horrors.
During this investigation, 8News learned Farley previously pleaded guilty to construction-related fraud charges in Hanover in 2007 and in Chesterfield in 2016.
Following several court hearings that Farley attended., his attorney told the judge he did not hear from Farley on Thursday and did not know his whereabouts.
The judge issued a warrant for the arrest of Farley and revoked his bond.
