Hanover County Public Schools to host 48th Festival of the Arts

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Hanover County Public Schools will be hosting the 48th Festival of the Arts this weekend with live music, theater and more.

The festival is free to attend and will take place on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Hanover High School located at 10307 Chamberlayne Rd.

It is estimated that over 1,500 students will be participating in the event, which highlights their accomplishments through around 1,300 pieces of art. Additionally, there will be live performances showcasing music, theater, fine arts and physical education.

There will also be a free chess tournament and an exhibit that allows students to try their hand at a variety of musical instruments.
