Hanover’s fall burn ban goes into effect soon
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Restrictions will soon be placed on open-air burning in Hanover County.
On Monday, Oct. 13, the Hanover County Fire-EMS Department took to Facebook to remind residents about the county's upcoming fall burn ban.
From Oct. 15 through Dec. 15, open-air burning will only be permitted in the county between the hours of 4 p.m. and midnight.
Those who would like to burn outside of those hours can request a permit from the county. These permits must be made to the fire marshal at least 14 days prior to the desired burn date.
