Help bring joy to Chesterfield kids through ‘Christmas in July’ toy drive

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield Police is collecting toys for children through its "Christmas in July" event, with the hope of supporting families in need during the holiday season.

From July 1 to July 31, the Chesterfield County Police Department will be accepting new and gently used toys suitable for children 12 years old and under.

These toys will be distributed through the Chester Food Pantry during the month of December.

You can drop off unwrapped toys at any of the county's police stations, listed below:

  • CCPD Headquarters, located at 10001 Iron Bridge Rd.
  • The Appomattox Station, located at 2920 W. Hundred Rd.
  • The Falling Creek Station, located at 20 N. Providence Rd.
  • The Falling Creek Substation, located at 5701 Route 1
  • The Swift Creek Station, located at 6812 Woodlake Commons Loop

"We hope you’ll help us make the holidays a little brighter for some kids in our community," police said.
