Henrico County to introduce Firehouse 23 in Spring 2025

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A new firehouse is coming to Bungalow City to serve the Highland Springs community and surrounding areas in Henrico County. According to a social post from Henrico County Government, Firehouse 23 will span 14,119 square feet and sit on a five-acre lot at 5619 Nine Mile Road. The building will feature three drive-thru bays and spaces for administrative tasks, training, dining, individual bunk rooms, group showers, public and staff restrooms, exercise, storage and mechanical areas. According to the county website, the project began in August 2023 and is estimated to cost $14.5 million.
