Henrico man found dead with obvious signs of trauma, police investigating as homicide

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A Henrico County man was found dead with obvious signs of trauma in the driver's seat of a vehicle after police received a report of a medical emergency. Officials are investigating his death as a homicide.

At 12:09 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4, officers with the Henrico County Police Division responded to the 5000 block of Charles City Road for a reported medical emergency.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man in the driver's seat of a vehicle who was unresponsive. Police said he had obvious signs of trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was identified by police as 39-year-old Chad Michael Young of Henrico County. His death is being investigated as a homicide, according to officials.
