Henrico seniors to showcase skills at Career Rodeo Skills Challenge

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Henrico County Public Schools (HCPS) seniors will be showcasing their various skill sets at the Career Rodeo Skills Challenge.

On Jan. 22, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Exhibition Hall of the Richmond Raceway Complex, high school seniors at HCPS will exhibit their life-ready skills for various disciplines at the sixth Career and Technical Education (CTE) Career Rodeo Skills Challenge.

Students will show off many different skill sets, including masonry, welding, computer science, culinary arts, automotive technology, cosmetology and more, according to Henrico County.

This event will be hosted by the Department of Workforce and Career Development and is the sixth installment for CTE students at HCPS's three Advanced Career Education (ACE) Centers.

It provides students with the opportunity to showcase their unique skills to employers in order to boost career opportunities.

At this event, students will solve various challenges by showcasing their skill sets to their retrospective career cluster. Employers at the event are able to request resumes and interview students.
