Hopewell man wins Tony for ‘Best Direction of a Play’

HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) -- The 78th annual Tony Awards were held Sunday, June 8 at 8 p.m., recognizing and celebrating talent within musicals and theaters.

However, this year's show was different -- it featured Hopewell native Sam Pinkleton, whose play, "Oh, Mary!" was nominated for five Tony awards, according to the academy.
