Hops in the Park to return to Henricus Historical Park in Chesterfield for 11th year

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — An annual hops and harvest festival is returning to the Chester area of Chesterfield County next month for its 11th year.

Hops in the Park is set to take place on Saturday, Nov. 8, from noon to 6 p.m., at Henricus Historical Park, located at 251 Henricus Park Road. According to organizers, the award-winning festival will feature Virginia craft breweries, food, live music and a marketplace.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with historical interpreters at the event and learn about Virginia's history — including Sir Thomas Dale, Pocahontas and life on the James River's banks in the early 1600s.

The event is free and open to the public. Organizers said proceeds from beer sales go toward benefiting the Henricus Foundation.

Public parking is available at USA Iron and Metal, located at 1800 Coxendale Road. Free shuttles will run from 11:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The last shuttle will reportedly depart from the event site at 6:15 p.m.
