I-95 North detour planned in Colonial Heights for road maintenance

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) -- The Virginia Department of Transportation will detour drivers on a portion of Interstate 95 northbound in Colonial Heights on Tuesday, weather permitting.

From 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8 until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, there will be a detour in place on I-95 northbound at the Temple Avenue exit for road maintenance.

According to a press release from VDOT, northbound traffic will be detoured to the Ruffin Mill Road/Woods Edge Road exit, to I-95 southbound, to the Temple Avenue exit.

VDOT said there will be no lanes of travel closed on I-95 north -- the only closure will take place on the Temple Avenue ramp.
