HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Kings Dominion is kicking off its 50th anniversary with a "Golden Summerbration" event.

Kings Dominion is turning 50, and the beloved theme park is marking the milestone with a "Golden Summerbration" event. According to the theme park, the summer-long celebration will include a fresh lineup of entertainment and the debut of the Rapterra roller coaster.

Light the Night

"Light the Night" begins May 24, bringing a unique lighting experience to International Street each night throughout the summer.

Kings Dominion Clown Band

The popular Kings Dominion Clown Band will return on May 24, parading through the park all day in their eye-catching costumes.

50 Years of Fun Street Party

The street party kicks off on June 13, featuring music from the last five decades and a performance of a new original song, "Right Here! Right Now!" written to honor the 50th birthday of Kings Dominion.

Prism: The Ultimate Laser Show

From June 13 to July 6, the Kings Dominion Theater will host vibrant, family-friendly laser shows presented by The Original Bomb Pop, celebrating the anniversary in a colorful tribute.

Gazillion Bubble Show

Starting July 12 through Aug. 3, guests can catch magicians and performers at the Kings Dominion Theater showcasing bubble artistry, magic tricks, laser tricks and more.
