LIST: Central Virginia schools closed, delayed Thursday due to winter storm
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Some of Central Virginia's school divisions are choosing to close or delay their openings on Thursday as the impact of Tuesday's winter storm continues to be seen throughout the Commonwealth.
The following Central Virginia school districts will be closed on Thursday, Feb. 13:
- Amelia County Public Schools
- Buckingham County Public Schools
- Caroline County Public Schools
- Licensed staff to work remotely, no work for paraprofessionals.
- 12-month employees to report two hours late.
- Essential personnel to report on-time.
- Cumberland County Public Schools
- Essex County Public Schools
- Virtual, asynchronous learning day.
- Goochland County Public Schools
- King and Queen County Public Schools
- Remote learning day.
- Louisa County Public Schools
- Orange County Public Schools
- Prince Edward County Public Schools
The following Central Virginia school districts will be delayed two hours on Thursday:
- Hanover County Public Schools
- Staff to report on-time.
- Henrico County Public Schools
- King William County Public Schools
- Powhatan County Public Schools
- Richmond County Public Schools
