LIST: Central Virginia schools closed Wednesday due to snow storm
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A winter storm bringing heavy snowfall is expected to hit Central Virginia on Wednesday. Some local school divisions are choosing to close for the safety of students and staff.
The following Central Virginia school districts will be closed on Wednesday, Feb. 18:
- Amelia County Public Schools
- Brunswick County Public Schools
- Remote learning day.
- Caroline County Public Schools
- 12-month employees to work remotely if possible.
- Charles City County Public Schools
- Virtual, asynchronous learning day.
- Cumberland County Public Schools
- Remote learning day.
- Dinwiddie County Public Schools
- Hanover County Public Schools
- Remote learning day.
- Henrico County Public Schools
- 12-month employees to telework if possible.
- Lancaster County Public Schools
- Mecklenburg County Public Schools
- Remote learning day.
- New Kent County Public Schools
- Northumberland County Public Schools
- Powhatan County Public Schools
- Richmond City Public Schools
- Remote learning day.
