LIST: Central Virginia schools delayed due to icy weather
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Multiple Central Virginia school districts will delay their openings on Tuesday due to forecasted wintry weather and icy conditions.
Starting in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Dec. 2, Central Virginia will see heavy rain and possibly sleet. Combined with chilly temperatures that will turn that rain into ice, drivers can expect hazardous road conditions.
The following Central Virginia schools and school districts will operate on a 2-hour delay due to this poor weather:
- Albemarle County Public Schools
- Buckingham County Public Schools
- Fluvanna County Public Schools
- Louisa County Public Schools
- Fuqua School in Farmville
