LIST: Virginia schools closed, delayed on Monday due to icy roads

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Some Virginia school districts will be closed or operate on a two-hour delay on Monday due to dangerous roads from winter weather impacts.

School districts across Central Virginia were either closed, had virtual learning or operated on a two-hour delay for the past few weeks due to the impact of winter weather. On Friday, Feb. 6, snow fell across Virginia, leading to dangerous road conditions.

The following districts will be closed on Monday, Feb. 9:

  • Amelia County Public Schools
  • Cumberland County Public Schools

The following districts will be operating on a two-hour delay on Monday:

  • Caroline County Public Schools
  • Essex County Public Schools
  • Fluvanna County Public Schools
  • Goochland County Public Schools
  • King and Queen County Public Schools
  • King William County Public Schools
  • Louisa County Public Schools
