RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- As Lent begins, those observing the 40-day period have several Fridays ahead of them to abstain from meat. Fortunately, there are multiple churches throughout the Richmond area offering Friday fish fries.
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, located at 8200 Woodman Rd. in Henrico County, is offering fish fry meals every Friday throughout Lent from 4:30 to 7 p.m., with both dine-in and take-out options available. For more information and to view the menu, click here.
St. Joseph Catholic Church
St. Joseph Catholic Church, located at 151 W Washington St. in Petersburg, is offering baked and fried fish with sides and a drink from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Fridays. Children under the age of 12 can eat for free. For more information, click here.

St. Edward Catholic Church will be hosting a Lenten Fri-Day night fish fry from 5 to 7 p.m. on all Fridays during lent at their community center located at 2700 Dolfield Drive in North Chesterfield. Takeout options are available as well. For more information, click here.
