Louisa County Public Schools to host Stuff the Bus event

LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A Stuff the Bus event is being hosted by Louisa County Public Schools this weekend to help gather supplies ahead of the new school year.

This year, the event will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, and Saturday, Aug. 2, at the Walmart located at 164 Camp Creek Parkway in Zion Crossroads.

Organizers said there will be volunteers on site helping to greet participants and sort the supplies received.

While they collected 90 boxes worth of supplies during last year's Stuff the Bus, this year organizers are hoping to set a new record.

Recommended donations include backpacks, binders, colored pencils, composition books and more.
