Mail carrier robbed at gunpoint by three men in Glen Allen

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Henrico County Police Division is investigating after a U.S. Postal Service (USPS) Carrier was robbed at gunpoint in Glen Allen last week.
On Wednesday, July 2, officers responded to the 2700 Block of Park Green Way for a reported robbery. According to police, the call came in around 3:30 p.m.
Once on the scene, officers spoke with the caller, who was a USPS postal carrier. The carrier told police that he was driving on Mountain Glen Parkway at around 3:15 p.m. when he was cut off by another vehicle and came to a stop.
According to police, three masked men -- two of which were armed with guns -- then got out of a white SUV and approached the mail truck demanding a mail key from the carrier.
After this, the three masked individuals then got back into the SUV and drove away. One of the suspects is described as wearing khaki-colored pants.
Both Henrico Police and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service are investigating this incident. Police ask that anyone with information or surveillance video call Detective S. Burkett at 804-501-4892.
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is asking that anyone with information call their hotline at 877-876-2455 or the Henrico Police Department.
Postal Inspectors are also offering a cash reward of $150,000 for those with information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of those involved with this incident.
