Man and woman shot on Washington Street in Petersburg
PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- After a man and woman were shot on Washington Street in Petersburg Sunday evening, police are investigating. In a post to X at 11:53 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29 by the Petersburg Bureau of Police, officials said that officers were investigating a shooting that had occurred in the 1400 block of West Washington Street. Police said a 26-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were found with gunshot wounds. The man was shot in his leg and backside and the woman was shot in her ankle, according to officials.
