Hundreds attend 10,000 Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Hunt in Hanover
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Hundreds gathered at Atlee Church for a 10,000 Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday afternoon.
On Saturday, April 4, hundreds of community members headed to Atlee Church, located at 7171 Verdi Lane, for the Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Hunt, with 10,000 eggs, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The free family-friendly event featured egg hunting, games with prizes, local food trucks, crafts and more, creating fun for all ages.
"We love having kids and students in our building, and we love putting on events for our kids and youth," said Katelyn Wood, Family Ministries Director at Atlee Church. "So this is a great event for that, and we're super excited to celebrate Easter tomorrow."

During the egg hunt, golden eggs were hidden with the chance for kids to win a special Easter Egg prize basket.
"We've been expecting about 200 people, but this definitely surpassed our expectations. And we have about 500 people here today celebrating Easter with us," said Wood
