Vote for Roller: The cat who flooded The Purrfect Bean

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Roller the cat, who was responsible for the flooding of the Purrfect Bean, is a finalist for the Pet Lovers' Choice Award and needs your help to win.
The Purrfect Bean is asking the community to vote for Roller, the cat who flooded the café in December 2025, in the Pet Lovers' Choice Awards for the chance for the organization Purring Hearts VA to win $10,000.
In early December of 2025, The Purrfect Bean, a Richmond cat café, temporarily closed its doors after a "series of freak accidents" with the cat Roller, a sink and a towel.
Flooding in the upstairs cat lounge leaked into the café space downstairs, causing damage that required new flooring on the second level and new drywall on the first floor. The Purrfect Bean held a grand reopening on Friday, Jan. 9.
Now, the Purring Hearts VA is asking people to vote for Roller the cat for the Pet Lovers' Choice Awards. He is a finalist in the competition, where the winner will receive a $10,000 award.
