Man arrives at hospital with gunshot wound to arm following reports of shots fired in Hopewell

HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) -- A man arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm following reports of shots fired in Hopewell on Wednesday evening.

Just after 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, Hopewell Telecommunications received multiple calls reporting shots fired in the 1500 block of Stewart Avenue.

Officers with the Hopewell Police Department determined that a man had arrived at Tri-Cities Hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm.

According to police, the man had non-life-threatening injuries.
