Man charged after allegedly stealing cash from Colonial Heights Circle K convenience store
COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) -- A man has been arrested and charged with robbery by threat or force after police said he stole cash from a Circle K convenience store in Colonial Heights.
At 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, officers with the Colonial Heights Police Department responded to a Circle K convenience store located in the 800 block of Temple Avenue for a reported robbery.
When officers arrived, they reportedly determined that a suspect went into the store, reached across the counter and stole an unknown amount of cash. Police said the suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle and headed east on Temple Avenue.
After investigating, police said detectives identified the suspect's vehicle and notified other local law enforcement agencies.
Shortly thereafter, police said the suspect was later identified as being 24-year-old Tiger Rizzorous Jose Terry of Prince George County. Police said he left the vehicle and was taken into custody without incident.
Terry was charged with robbery by threat or force and held at Riverside Regional Jail on a $1,500 secure bond.
