Man charged in multi-vehicle crash in Amelia that injured three people
AMELIA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A man has been charged with reckless driving after three people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Amelia County on Monday.
At about 2:10 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 19, state troopers with Virginia State Police were called to the area of Genito and Howard roads for a report of a three-vehicle crash.

According to police, three drivers were involved in the incident. Police said a 2012 Toyota Tundra, driven by 67-year-old John R. Hill, of Powhatan, was traveling north on Genito Road and crossed into the southbound lanes, hitting a 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe and a 2016 Ford Transit van.
Hill was wearing a seatbelt at the time but suffered "serious injuries." He was taken to a hospital and is being charged with reckless driving, according to police.
The two other drivers were also wearing their seatbelts and were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
This crash remains under investigation.
