Man charged with attempted murder after gun pointed at child

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man has been charged with attempted murder after a photo was discovered where he was pointing a gun at a child.
Matthew Williams was arrested on April 21 after the Richmond Police Department received a photo showing him pointing a gun at a child, according to information provided at a city crime briefing.

The incident resulted in Williams being charged with attempted murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, child abuse and neglect and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to officials.
As of May 8, court records show that Williams was denied bond, and will stand trial on Aug. 25 of this year.
